Nacido en Tucapel, al alero del fuerte, se forj\u00f3 en la reciedumbre de la Alta Frontera y, en defensa de Los \u00c1ngeles, muri\u00f3 en las cercan\u00edas del Puente Perales (conocido como Tarpellanca) cuando trataba de escapar de las montoneras de Benavides&#8230;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nuestrobiobio.blogspot.cl\/2009\/02\/tucapel-mariscal-andres-alcazar-el.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contin\u00fae leyendo aqu\u00ed<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>&#8211; Su Adhesi\u00f3n a la Causa Patriota<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su adhesi\u00f3n al nuevo r\u00e9gimen se vio reflejada en el oficio que envi\u00f3 el mayor graduado Pedro Jos\u00e9 Benavente, comandante del Cuerpo de Dragones Veteranos, acantonados en Los \u00c1ngeles, en respuesta a la nota enviada por el Conde de la Conquista, el 19 de septiembre desde Santiago, en la que pide el reconocimiento de esas tropas a la Junta de Gobierno, instalada en la capital. Revest\u00eda especial importancia la adhesi\u00f3n de las tropas de Los \u00c1ngeles, por ser esta la principal plaza militar del sur&#8230;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nuestrobiobio.blogspot.cl\/2009\/02\/tucapel-alcazar-su-adhesion-la-causa.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contin\u00fae leyendo aqu\u00ed<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>&#8211; La Guerra a Muerte<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despu\u00e9s de batalla de Maip\u00fa, gran parte de las tropas realistas se retiraron al sur, donde organizaron guerrillas que hostilizaban distintos puntos de la regi\u00f3n, lo que movi\u00f3 a la organizaci\u00f3n de un ej\u00e9rcito de patriotas que ocup\u00f3 con alrededor de tres mil hombres el territorio entre Santiago y Parral. Estas fuerzas se pusieron al mando del General transandino Antonio Gonz\u00e1lez Balcarce, quien lleg\u00f3 a Chill\u00e1n el mes de enero de 1819&#8230;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nuestrobiobio.blogspot.cl\/2009\/02\/tucapel-la-guerra-muerte.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contin\u00fae leyendo aqu\u00ed<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>&#8211; El Martirio de Tarpellanca<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con el alto grado de Mariscal, Alcazar emprender\u00eda una infortunada operaci\u00f3n para batir al temible Benavides. En ella encontrar\u00eda heroica muerte en el Combate de Tarpellanca (26.IX.1820), en lo que hoy conocemos como Puente Perales, uno de los pasos del r\u00edo Laja, en el camino a Yumbel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El plan para capturar a Vicente Benavides, ideado en 1819 por el Intendente de Concepci\u00f3n, General Ram\u00f3n Freire, era sencillo&#8230;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nuestrobiobio.blogspot.cl\/2009\/02\/tucapel-martirio-en-tarpellanca.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contin\u00fae leyendo aqu\u00ed<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Nota aparte, en el Salto del Laja en el costado sur del puente existe un busto en honor al Mariscal Alcazar, resulta INDIGNANTE que aquel intento recuerdo es cubierto por un toldo de un local comercial haciendo uso de su plazoleta para sus fines, una irrespetuosa forma de quien ni siquiera sabe de quien es la \u00abestatua\u00bb.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Curioso es saber que el hotel que lleva su nombre s\u00f3lo tiene su NOMBRE y nada m\u00e1s.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em;
